Why sync your LinkedIn connections?
Surface warm connections across your team's network, not just your own.
Speed up prospecting by identifying who already knows the person you're trying to reach.
Strengthen account coverage by combining your team's collective network in one place.
Before you start
Make sure the Chrome extension is installed. If you haven't done that yet, start with Install the Chrome extension.
You'll need to be logged into LinkedIn in your browser.
Uploading a CSV instead? You can skip the extension and go to Upload your connections manually (CSV) below.
Sync your connections
Click the Centralize icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the extension.
Navigate to linkedin.com in your browser.
The Centralize extension will detect your connections page and prompt you to sync. Click Sync Connections to begin.
Wait for the sync to complete. This runs in the background and may take a few minutes depending on the size of your network — you'll see a confirmation once it's done.
📹 Walkthrough: Syncing Your LinkedIn Connections
📝 Note: After your first sync, Centralize re-syncs your connections every 4 weeks, so you don't need to re-run it yourself. The re-sync runs the next time you open LinkedIn with the Chrome extension enabled after those 4 weeks have passed, so if you haven't been on LinkedIn in a while, your connections will update the next time you are.
Upload your connections manually (CSV)
Prefer not to use the Chrome extension, or want more control over which contacts are added to Centralize? You can upload your LinkedIn connections as a CSV file instead.
📝 Note: CSV upload is available to Members, Admins, and anyone who joined through a partner invite link.
In Centralize, click Connections in the left sidebar.
Click Upload LinkedIn connections at the top right, then select the Manual tab.
Joined through a partner invite link? On your Home page, click Upload a LinkedIn connections CSV instead, then continue from step 3.
Request your data from LinkedIn. Click Open LinkedIn Data Export, then select Download larger data archive. This archive includes your connections.
Wait for LinkedIn’s email. It can take up to 24 hours for the download link to arrive.
Download and extract the ZIP, then find Connections.csv. It’s usually at the root of the extracted folder.
Enter your LinkedIn profile URL (e.g.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/your-name). Centralize uses it to enrich your work history and score how strong each connection is.Upload your Connections.csv file. Your connections are imported once the upload finishes.
📝 Note: A CSV upload is a one-time snapshot and doesn’t refresh on its own. Only the Chrome extension re-syncs every 4 weeks. To refresh your connections after a CSV upload, export a new file from LinkedIn and upload it again.
Q&A
The extension didn't prompt me to sync.
Make sure you're on the LinkedIn connections page and the extension is logged in. Try refreshing the page.
My connections aren't showing up in Centralize?
Allow a few minutes for the sync to process. If they still don't appear, try running the sync again from the connections page.
If you uploaded a CSV, allow a few minutes for the import to finish. If they still don't appear, try uploading the file again.
My connections haven't updated in over 4 weeks.
Open LinkedIn in Chrome with the Centralize extension enabled. The re-sync should run then. If you'd like to update right away, you can also run Sync Connections from the extension.
I can’t find Connections.csv in my export.
Make sure you chose “Download larger data archive”. The smaller export may not include connections.
Why does my “Last synced” date look old?
For CSV uploads, “Last synced” shows the date of your most recent upload. It updates only when you upload a new file.
I use both the extension and CSV upload. Do they affect each other?
No. The two are separate: a CSV upload doesn’t reset the extension’s 4-week re-sync, and the extension doesn’t check for CSV uploads.
I joined through a partner invite link. Can I upload a CSV?
Yes. On your Home page, click Upload a LinkedIn connections CSV to open the CSV upload steps, then follow steps 3–7 above.
