Why this matters

Large enterprise accounts — like Salesforce or Amazon — often span dozens of subsidiaries, each with their own email domain and LinkedIn company page. Without filtering, all contacts across every subsidiary are aggregated together on your Stakeholder Map and Org Chart, making it difficult to focus on the specific entity you're actually selling into.

Domain and company filters let you isolate exactly the contacts you care about — whether that's everyone at @slack.com, or all contacts tied to Slack as a LinkedIn company. This keeps your map clean, your suggested contacts relevant, and your outreach targeted to the right buying group.

Before you start

Before you can filter by domain or company, make sure your account has the correct domains and LinkedIn pages configured. See Updating Account Settings for how to add domains and LinkedIn pages to an account.

What you can filter by

Centralize supports two filter types:

  • Email domain — filter contacts by the email domain on their profile (e.g. @slack.com).

  • Company — filter contacts by their LinkedIn company (a specific subsidiary like Slack, or the parent company).

These filters update:

  • Stakeholder Map

  • Org Chart

  • Suggested Contacts

  • Company alerts shown on contact cards in Suggested Contacts

How to apply a filter

  1. Open an account in Centralize.

  2. Open the Stakeholder Map or Org Chart.

  3. Click the filter icon at the top of the map to open the filter panel.

  4. To filter by domain: Under Domain, open the dropdown and select the email domain you want (e.g. @slack.com). The map updates immediately to show only matching contacts.

  5. To filter by company: Under Company, open the dropdown and choose a subsidiary to show only contacts from that entity, or the parent company to roll up all contacts under the top-level account. Contact cards show a company alert indicating which entity they belong to.

Clear a filter

  1. Re-open the filter panel.

  2. Click Clear, or deselect the active filter.

  3. The map returns to showing all contacts across all domains and companies.

FAQ

Why do some contacts not appear under a specific company filter? Contacts are matched based on their LinkedIn company data. If a contact's LinkedIn profile doesn't list the subsidiary (e.g. Slack vs. Salesforce), they may not appear under the specific company filter. Try filtering by domain instead.

Does filtering affect what gets exported or synced to Salesforce? No. Filters are view-only and do not affect your Salesforce sync or any exports. They are purely for navigating your map.

My filter dropdowns are empty — what's wrong? If no domains or companies appear in the filter panel, the account likely hasn't had its domains or LinkedIn pages configured yet. Head to Updating Account Settings to add them.
