Before you start

  • You'll need access to the Salesforce org where the package will be installed.

  • We recommend installing for all users so the Centralize component is available to everyone who needs it.

Install the Centralize Salesforce package

  1. Open the installation link.

  2. Log into the Salesforce organization where you want the package installed.

  3. When prompted to choose an installation scope, select Install for All Users.

  4. When prompted, approve auth.usecentralize.com and app.usecentralize.com as trusted sites — this allows Salesforce to embed Centralize pages.

Add the Centralize Lightning component to record pages

After installation completes, add the Centralize Lightning component to your Account and/or Opportunity record pages.

  1. Navigate to any Account or Opportunity record.

  2. Click the Setup menu and select Edit Page.

  3. In the Lightning App Builder, locate Centralize under Custom Components in the left sidebar.

  4. Drag the Centralize component onto the page. We recommend creating a new tab labeled Centralize and dropping the component there.

  5. Click Save and confirm the component appears on the page.

Note: Immediately after installation, the Centralize component may show: "Centralize Account Map URL is not provided on this record." This is expected right after installation — it confirms the component was added correctly, and it will be resolved once you complete "Enable Salesforce settings in Centralize" below.

Tip: Repeat this process for both Accounts and Opportunities if you want the component available on both objects.

Enable Salesforce settings in Centralize

  1. Go to app.usecentralize.com/settings/salesforce.

  2. Scroll to the section labeled Salesforce App Setup.

  3. Toggle on Centralize Page URL syncing.

  4. In the dialog that appears, confirm the installation by selecting I have installed the package.

This kicks off a sync that populates the necessary page URLs in Salesforce so the Centralize component can display account maps.

Note: Salesforce shows a security warning about external website access before it lets you approve these two domains — this is a standard Salesforce check for any AppExchange package that connects to services outside Salesforce, not something specific to Centralize. Here's what each domain is for:

  • app.usecentralize.com — the core Centralize application. The package needs to reach this so account and contact records can sync between Salesforce and Centralize.

  • auth.usecentralize.com — handles authentication for that connection, confirming the requests are coming from your Centralize instance.

[Confirm with engineering or your Salesforce admin: the exact wording/steps Salesforce shows for this warning in a UAT install, and the recommended way to approve it.] Once you approve, the installation continues as normal.

Confirm Centralize account maps are displayed

Once the Centralize team confirms setup is complete, verify that account maps appear on Salesforce Account and Opportunity records that are activated in Centralize.
